Breaking down the barriers to learning
The only barrier to learning is you. ABAAS will support your needs irrespective of your circumstances, all that we ask from our students is their commitment and dedication to the course and a mutual respect for each other.
In most cases we are able to draw down funds for training if you are unemployed, subject to course level and proof of benefits.
There are varying type of barriers to consider: cultural, disability, financial, phobias, disorders, social, discriminatory, prejudices, sexual orientation and so on, but at ABAAS we treat everyone as equals and work with people on their fears and concerns and where possible break down these barriers and build bridges of confidence and trust with our client base.
We can offer female only support if required and also teaching in numerous languages covering English, French, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Hungarian and German.
We hold your personal details for training and funding purposes only and the information you supply to us is held in the strictest of confidence. Normally after 6 years all your information is destroyed. Whilst we treat all our clients with the upmost care and support we do monitor for Vulnerable adults and if we feel you are being physically or mentally abused or violated we will inform the appropriate authorities of our concerns as it is sometimes difficult for individuals to talk about their problems but not only are we here to teach you new skills but we are also here to watch over your well being and ensure you are being treated fairly and without risk to you.
